Spring Baseball

The spring baseball program is designed to be a fun, team-oriented experience for all who participate. During the spring baseball season your player will be instructed to develop the fundamentals of the game, including hitting, throwing, and defense. We are trying to help players realize their potential in the sport and develop a sense of good team sportsmanship and personal satisfaction.

Spring Baseball Leagues:

  • Registration is open to all Bedford and Hanscom AFB residents
  • The season typically starts the last week of April and ends by mid June

T-Ball

Co-ed introduction - in a fun learning environment - to the great sport of Baseball. Focus is on relaxed teaching of the basic rules and skills of the sport. Players hit off a tee. We use a safety ball that is softer than a regular baseball but is about the same weight and size as a regular baseball.

Games & Practices: Mondays and Wednesday

Ages:

Age 5 and over by September 1, 2023

Farm Baseball League

Farm Baseball is a step up from T-Ball where players learn to hit with their own coaches pitching to them. They continue to learn correct fielding and throwing technique as well as learning to hit a pitched ball. This is done in a fun atmosphere with a focus on learning to love the game!

Games: Typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Practices: Typically 1 practice a week

Ages:

1st and 2nd grades for the 2023-24 school year.

National Baseball League

National League baseball is the next step up in baseball. Beginning at this level, players rather than coaches, pitch to their opponents. They continue to develop their fielding, throwing, and hitting techniques as well as learning to correctly play specific game situations. Scores and standings are kept with a playoff at the end of the season to determine the league championship. Teams are formed by a draft following a player tryout. All registered players are placed on a team.

Games: Typically Mondays and Wednesdays. Occasional Friday or Saturday.

Practices: Typically 1 practice a week

Ages:

3rd grade for the 2023-24 school year.
