BBRBS Flatbread Fundraiser on Tuesday, May 13.
It will run from 5:00 PM to close (which is around 9:30 PM). There are no forms to bring in...just an appetite! Bedford Babe Ruth will receive proceeds from all pizza sales that evening including take out.

Summer Tryouts May 18
Baseball players ages 9-10 will tryout on Page Field at 5:30 pm.
Baseball players ages 11-12 will tryout at 5:30 pm in I field.
Babe Ruth players (ages 13 and above) will tryout at 5:30 pm on G Field.
All softball players will tryout at 2:00 pm on E Field.

May 4 - Sunday's games are postponed.
Today's Farm and Rookie games are postponed to next Saturday May 10th - same fields but they will have a 3:00 start time - we already have a slate of games for 5:45 start. Today's Intermediate game is on as planned at C Field and today's Junior game has been moved to E field, E field will require some prep to make it playable - thanks in advance.

Parking on Railroad Ave:
Just a reminder, Railroad Ave is marked “No Parking” and violators will be ticketed. This is a public safety issue! Parking is available in the JGMS rear parking lot as well as in the dirt parking lot behind H Field. Thank you for your assistance.

Manager and Coach Certification Requirements
We hope everyone is enjoying the winter, if possible, with all this snow. As you should all be aware, we are a member of the Babe Ruth Baseball national organization. This encompasses all of our baseball and softball programs and we are required to follow their rules for our spring leagues, as well as our summer leagues and tournaments. We invite you to learn more about this at http://www.baberuthleague.org/ . This year they have added a coach certification program and this is being required for all coaches and managers. We realize that in the first year it will be difficult to achieve this, so we wanted to provide this information as soon as possible.. We have had some board members take the training and they have indicated much of it is good, sound, practical information. When you take this training, please keep your certification receipt (which you will print after completing the course) and if you’d like to be reimbursed for your $20 certification fee, please bring us your receipt at registration and we can take $20 off your fee. The certification will be good for 2 or 3 years, depending on the timing of when you take it. Other Changes
This year we have some exciting new changes! To start with, we have added another baseball league called the Atlantic League. This league will be for all 11 and 12 year olds not in American and some 10 year olds to fill out the rosters. The National League will be 9 and 10 year old players only. In response to parent comments, we looked to the national organization and other leagues, and formed a committee to look at the best solution for our town. Opening day is on April 12th which does not conflict with school vacation week - this will allow us to have pictures on opening day. Please review our website throughout the year and there will be other communications throughout the year to provide information on these changes __________________________________________________________________
