An Important Message About COVID-19 Requirements for BBRBS

It has been really great to see the kids back out on the field this last week!

However, we need to WARN EVERYONE, that this opportunity can be taken away from us if we all do not do our part to comply with the State and Town Guidelines for returning to the fields.  The Bedford Board of Health does not want to shut us down, but they do need to protect the entire community.  After reviewing some of our events, they are concerned that we are not doing our part.

From here on, we must all comply with the following (This includes players, but especially parents):

  1. Masks are required to be worn by all players, coaches, and spectators when they are not in the field of play.
  2. Players and Spectators must maintain social distancing of 6 ft at all times while not on the field of play.  Even if you frequently spend time with friends and other families outside of baseball and softball, families must stay 6 ft apart during the games.  If we do not improve on this, spectators will no longer be allowed and you will have to watch games from your car.
  3. We need 1 to 2 COVID volunteers for each team or clinic session to focus on items 1 and 2 above during the games and practices.  These individuals will need to go through the CORI process and will make sure the players are staying socially distanced and wearing masks.  Please reach out to your coaches and managers if you are willing to help us in this capacity.
  4. Per the State Guidelines, we strongly urge all players to wear face masks during moderate risk activities such as base-running and hitting unless there are safety concerns with doing so such as vision impairment or breathing.

We appreciate all of your help in complying with the above requirements.  We really  want to continue watching these kids play, so do your part!
